The project Smart MaaS – Smart Mobility as a Service, presented itself successfully at the Smart Country Convention in Berlin. “Smart MaaS” is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) as part of their “Smart Service Welt 2” program. Over three days, the project was presented to a receptive public and many new national and international contacts were made. The fair saw a good mix of public and private innovative partners on Smart Cities and Smart Countries, and the new connections will help with the successful implementation of the project.
“The SCC participation, which was supported by all project partners, was a successful building block in the Smart MaaS project. The new contacts not only give us valuable connections but will also help with the development of new Smart mobility services,” says Detlef Olschewski from the Smart MaaS project. The project consortium consists of five strong partners: Fraunhofer IESE, the German Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), regio IT from Aachen, the FIWARE Foundation and Cleopa GmbH. This team will create a new marketplace for smart mobility services together with the supporting data infrastructure by 2021.
